1865: born on 22 Oct in Pennsylvania to Albert and Mary Fitch
1870 Census: living in Port Allegany, McKean, Pennsylvania with father, mother, and brother. age 5
1880 Census: living in Liberty, McKean, Pennsylvania with father, mother, and several siblings.
age 15
1884: Married Samuel Schoonover in Winona, Winona, Minnesota. age 19. This is where her parents were living at the time.
1890: No census
1900 Census: living in Liberty, McKean, Pennsylvania with husband and 7 children. age 35
1905: died on 5 Feb in Port Allegany, McKean, Pennsylvania. age 39
Things I want to know:
1) Why she died so young
So what I am going to do in the next couple months is order a copy of the marriage certificate and then probably go to Smethport to see about getting her death certificate.
So, Mina is my husband's great-grandmother. He was told the family lore that she was a suicide. His grandfather was Jay Schoonover.
